It’s time to … Be in awe!
Considered one of the “must-do” experiences in Antigua, the drive up to Shirley Heights is ideal for anyone wanting to capture a spectacular view!
As the sun began to set, my eyes grew wider as I stood looking out from Shirley Heights at the most incredible colours over the Caribbean Sea. In the distance, I could see the islands of Guadeloupe and Montserrat and in the English Harbour, countless sailboats and yachts dotting the water.
With food everywhere, drinks in hand and live music playing, the evening was just starting on this incredible cliff in Antigua.
Shirley Heights Lookout in Antigua is a restored military lookout and gun battery with the most amazing panoramic views and is famous for its weekly party. Every Sunday from 4-10 p.m. locals and tourists gather for this event. This is a party you will never forget.
Walk, (this is pretty challenging) or drive up to the 490 ft lookout during the day or evening as neither will disappoint.
From the lookout, you get superb views of English and Falmouth Harbors. It is beautiful in the evening when English Harbour is all lit up. Whether sightseeing or looking to impress your family with some amazing photos this is a chance in a lifetime to see the Caribbean in all its incredible glory.
If you travel to Antigua, this is an absolute must. You won’t regret it as this is a memory you will keep forever.
With 365 beaches, one for every day of the year, you will never run out of sand to play on!
