It’s time to STOP DREAMING — GO EXPLORE!
• First, and foremost — a REAL PERSON! Unlike me [Mini Sherri], you can contact Sherri to answer your questions; she will look after all the details of your trip, and deal with any modifications or changes that arise to your reservation! YOU are her client! YOU are the reason she is still in this business! (Trust me, being a travel advisor nowadays is stressful — and those who stuck with it while the world of travel shut down do THIS because they love helping their clients have memorable trips!)
• Remember when you booked yourself a trip that was supposed to happen in 2020? Do you remember how many hours you sat on hold — listening to that HORRIBLE hold music so you could try and get your money back? Well, for anyone who booked with Sherri — THEY didn’t, SHE did! (That alone is worth her consultation fee!)
• Customer service! YOU are not a number! When you contact Sherri, you are building a relationship with someone who WANTS your travel to be amazing — she truly cares and wants you to have an experience, not just a trip! Many of Sherri’s clients have indicated that Sherri is clearly passionate about being a travel advisor “and that certainly shows through in everything she does. It’s as if she’s coming on the trip with us, which certainly adds to our travel experience.” … And they are not wrong! Hence me, Mini Sherri! ;D
As a travelling correspondent, I get to experience the destinations with clients of Have Sherri, Will Travel. I hardly have time to do a load of laundry before I am packing for the next trip! One of my favourite “things to do” while in a destination is to try out the favourite beverage with clients! Which usually consists of rum or wine! LOL
• Sherri ALWAYS has your back! Her entire business exists to make her clients’ travel as stress-free as possible. So when something arises, she will do her best to resolve the problem while you focus on enjoying yourself!
• One-stop shop! You have one person who is doing EVERYTHING for you — flights, hotel/resort, excursions, transfers, cruises with pre/post accommodations, insurance. Sherri will provide you with all required documents, links and forms that you need to enter your destination, all packaged together … one person … one number to call.

• Sherri is constantly learning! All of our suppliers have training modules, as well as trade shows and meeting with suppliers’ account managers. These partnerships are key to helping Sherri get the best experiences for her clients. Knowledge is power — and Sherri has access to LOTS of knowledge … so take advantage of that!
• Since COVID, many travel agencies have implemented fees. This is because all the bookings they did in 2019 for 2020 were cancelled … so, like Sherri, they spent 2020 cancelling all the work they did in 2019 — without any pay. So please remember these fees are paying for Sherri’s hard work that she is going to do for you before you even leave on your trip!
• There are certain times of the year that cost more money — for example, Canadian March Break … pricing during this week is high! Do not expect a sale! EVERY supplier knows that Canadians are itchin’ to get away from the white stuff — this is one of the expensive weeks to travel! Christmas and New Year is also expensive! Sherri suggests if you can, the second week of December is a good price zone. Sherri will work with you to find a destination that will help you create lifetime memories!
• The sooner you book, the better the pricing and choice of room categories is available! Planes fill up quickly, and there are only so many special room categories — so if you want the private plunge pool … hire Sherri early in the year to start narrowing down your options, so when inventory is released — you can tell them to “Book it, Danno!” (Yes, I am a fan of Hawaii Five-O!!)
• Caribbean inventory is released not quite a full year out in advance. For example, I had a multi-generation family wanting to travel at the end of December 2022, they hired me in June 2021! I started researching resorts that met everyone’s wants and needs; narrowed it down to three resort; last week of December 2021, inventory was released … Jan. 3, 2022 multi-gen family had their Christmas vacation booked! Plan early!!!
• Times have changed — and will continue to change! It is very important that you know exactly what you require to enter — and return — for your trip. Sherri will provide you the up-to-date information! Is there an online form you need to fill out? Sherri will provide that to you, as well as links to other items you need: Online check-in, immigration/tourist forms, and if needed, health requirement forms.
• Sherri a fountain of information — and if she doesn’t have the answer in front of her — she will get it for you! She is affiliated with TPI, which has more than 800 travel advisors across Canada! She has a team of amazing advisors helping her out! Remember, she wants you to have an AMAZING experience!
